Yossi Arnheim is Principal Flautist with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, and was head of the wind department at the Buchman-Mehta School of music in Tel-Aviv. He is frequent soloist with the Israel Philharmonic and other orchestras in Israel, and has performed recitals in Israel, Switzerland, USA, Germany, the Czech Republic, the Ukraine, France, Austria, Hungaria, Singapore and Brazil.

Arnheims guest performances as soloist with orchestras include the South-German Chamber Orchestra, the Elbland Philharmonic Orchestra in Saxony, the China national Symphony, the City of London Sinfonia, Dohnanyi Symphony Orchestra in Budapest, Romanian Radio Chamber Orchestra, Kiev Chamber Orchestra and Cappella Istropolitana..

Yossi Arnheim is a very active performer of chamber music in many various diverse settings, and has played chamber music concerts with renowned artists such as Lynn Harell, Tabea Zimmermann, Jeno Jando and Steven Kovacevich.

His broad musical horizons include Middle Eastern and Arabic music. In 1997, he founded Sheshbesh, an ensemble comprised of Arab and Jewish musicians, which performs music from the Middle East in a classical format.

In addition, he performs Asian music, such as Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Georgian, and Israeli music, with harpist Julia Sverdlov in their “East Wind Duo”.
