BADINAGE

Formed in 1984, Badinage is recognised as one of Britain's leading period instrument ensembles with concert programmes featuring virtuoso works for woodwind, violin, cello and harpsichord. Following eighteenth century practice, Paul Carroll is a virtuoso on the flute, bassoon, oboe and recorder. Badinage's repertoire is varied and flexible spanning the period from Marais to Mozart, enabling the Ensemble to present unique and entertaining programmes. Badinage's concerts often include additional string players and vocal soloists for the performance of concertos and cantatas. The Ensemble regularly performs at London's South Bank Centre and other major concert venues.
